Hi everybody! I’m back! Sorry you haven’t heard from me in a while. I’ve been busy lately.

The Dog of the Month for August is the English springer spaniel, another one of my favorite breeds! (Since I’ve already told you more than once before, you already know that I have a lot of favorite dogs!)
English springer spaniels were used as hunting dogs. They are called English “springer” spaniels because they would spring birds from their spots. Springing means that the spaniels ran up to the birds to scare them off; then the hunters would shoot the birds.

English springer spaniels are lively and love to please their owners. They’re one of those dogs that need a lot of attention or they will become destructive or aggressive (or both). The colors that these dogs come in are white with liver (dark brown), black and white, black, white, black and tan, just liver, or blue roan. English springer spaniels don’t shed very much, which means less vacuuming up dog hair! 🙂

Well, I guess that’s all for now. Thanks for reading! Hope you all have had a great summer, and for those of you going back to school, enjoy your first day back!

Fun Fact!
A dog’s nose prints are just like human fingerprints–no two dogs have the exact same nose print design!
