Hi everyone! Hope you all are still having a great summer! Mine was kind of busy. I went to two camps over the last few weeks, of which I may tell you more about later. But right now, here’s the Dog of the Month for August: the Jack Russell terrier!
Jack Russells are spunky, playful dogs that insist on being involved in everything that’s going on. If you’re an active person, the Jack Russell may be the right dog for you–they have tons of energy and need a lot of exercise, and would do best living in the country or suburbs. Since they were bred to hunt foxes, Jack Russells have a strong prey drive and would chase small animals if they get the chance. They are bold, fearless dogs, and will bark to alert you if someone’s at the door. Jack Russells, who are introduced to them early, love to play with other dogs and kids. A well-trained, socialized Jack Russell makes a great dog!
