Hey everybody! For those of you who are back in school again like I am, I hope you’re enjoying it!
The September Dog of the Month is the West Highland white terrier, a courageous little dog with a big personality. Like most of the other terriers, Westies were bred to hunt vermin (rats and other animal pests). They are fearless dogs who do not easily back off from tough situations. They probably don’t even realize that they’re not big dogs! They make great pets for any type of environment, as long as they get plenty of playtime and exercise. They can get into a lot of trouble if they are left alone.
The West Highland white terrier comes in only one color: white. (Surprise! :)) A twice-weekly grooming and quarterly coat clipping is all you need to do to keep your Westie’s coat in good condition.
If you’re the type of person who wants a spunky, brave companion, the Westie may be the dog for you! Okay, that’s all I have about this Dog of the Month. See you soon!
