Hey Dogroll readers! In case you weren’t already aware, today is National Dog Day! Dogs do so much for us by assisting the disabled; fighting alongside the police and military who protect our country; sniffing out diseases like cancer, diabetes or even COVID-19; and simply being part of our lives as family members and BFFFs (Best Furry Friends Fur-ever). They even help us be healthier by getting us outside daily for walks, and lowering stress levels by us petting or playing with them or laughing at their silly antics. The world wouldn’t be the same without dogs, and today is a day dedicated to celebrating them!

I want to do something special for my own BFFF, BlaZe, today. I think I’ll make him a special treat soon, or even play with him on his agility course in the backyard, which he really enjoys! But even dog lovers without dogs can still celebrate today by spending time with any dogs they know or helping out at a local animal rescue to give homeless dogs some love! How are you planning to celebrate National Dog Day today? Please be sure to share your ideas or pics of you with your canine pals on my Facebook page!

Happy National Dog Day everybody!
